Volker
Hi, each time I start Daminion it comes up with the search criteria shown in the screenshot. I remember that in earlier versions Daminion used to come up with the last used search criteria from the previous session. Is this a bug or a new feature? Best regards, Volker

True, this did change very recently just a couple of versions ago. In fact, I believe, I did report it and was just going to search my post on that issue, since I did not get any response yet. Volker
This behaviour is really annoying, because obviously you don't have a chance to change the stored search.

Volker
Any news on this issue?
Daria Kotilainen
My apologies Volker, but not yet. Can you please clarify what "811_2415" exactly is? In the latest version when I log out and log in, Daminion shows a zero search, i.e all files in the catalog. Kind regards Daria
Volker
Hello Daria, "811_2415" is a search pattern I entered a long time ago. At that time (I don't remember the version) Daminion started with the last search I had entered before closing the application. And then one day the behaviour changed and it always comes up with the search preset to "811_2415". Best regards, Volker
Daria Kotilainen
Volker, can you please try to install 6.4.0.2185 and let me know if this bug is reproducible there? Daria
Volker
I am afraid this won't work, because I am currently struggeling with 6.7.1.2208:
Volker
Hello Daria, I managed to get Daminion client build 2208 working on my Daminion server. Here I can observe the same behaviour: the client always starts with this preset: Best regards, Volker
WilfriedB
Really annoying! Reported more than two years ago! 😞 Is there a reason, for not fixing this?
Daria Kotilainen
Hi Wilfried, We cannot reproduce it on our end on the latest builds. In our case the program starts with zero search, e.g. all items are displayed. Kate is working on it trying to reproduce this scenario. Kind regards Daria

This was probably upgrading from 5.8 (1765) to 6.0 (1819), but not exactly sure, about the versions. Since that time, the same search opens, whenever I start the client. I guess, the same is true for @Volker, obviously in his case, it was a different search at the time.
Uwe
the same for me, but because there was already the post which describes the bug I didn't add my comment.

Volker
Works perfectly 🙂 Thank you!
WilfriedB
Also works fine for me now in Build 2216. However, if you had Show last Import open, when you closed the client, it opens Show All after restarting. Possibly this was always the case and I never noticed it before.
