exterminador Posted June 27, 2022 Report Posted June 27, 2022 Hi there, In 2693 I found that to rescan a folder, I need to select the "Rescan folders..." option twice in order for Daminion to scan the folder. I use the manual rescan on folders (I have no automatic scan enabled). Steps to reproduce: Right clic on a folder and select "Rescan folders..." Select "Rescan (F6)..." 3. It quickly shows the last (previously) imported files and finishes the import process, no new files are imported 4. Right clic on the same folder as step 1 and select "Rescan folders..." 5. Select "Rescan (F6)..." 6. Now it import the new files and after a while, it shows the list of imported files Has anyone seen this behavior? Thanks! Regards Quote
Daria Kotilainen Posted June 28, 2022 Report Posted June 28, 2022 Hi Exterminador, please try to install 2734 - this has been fixed. Don't forget to create the backups prior to the upgrade Daria Quote
exterminador Posted July 2, 2022 Author Report Posted July 2, 2022 Hi Daria, thanks a lot for following up, I installed 2734 but it still happens (I have to select "Rescan folders..." twice for Daminion to scan the folder). Thanks! Quote
Daria Kotilainen Posted July 4, 2022 Report Posted July 4, 2022 Hi Uwe and Nabani, This is very strange, I cannot reproduce it in 2734. I've also tried on my personal laptop where I've got 2743 - same thing, Rescan works at the first attempt. Please give a try to 2743. If it happens again, please record a screencast for me Kind regards, Daria Quote
Lenni Posted August 2, 2022 Report Posted August 2, 2022 Hi, I can confirm it also. In addition, every now and then Daminion also crashes during Rescan. Running 2743. Quote
Stephen Posted August 8, 2022 Report Posted August 8, 2022 Just to say I am running 2743 and I have to do the double folder scan to import files though haven't had a crash to date Quote
lintujuh Posted August 12, 2022 Report Posted August 12, 2022 I'm running 2743, and I have to select Rescan Folders twice, to rescan. I'm not having any crashes during the rescan. Sometimes the rescan works on the first try, but most of the times not. Quote
Uwe Posted August 14, 2022 Report Posted August 14, 2022 Hi, First F6 - it shows the last imported items Second F6 - the rescan starts Regards, Uwe Quote
Daria Kotilainen Posted August 15, 2022 Report Posted August 15, 2022 Hi team, please try installing the latest build (make sure your free updates are active!) and let me know if you experience the same thing. Kind regards, Daria Quote
lintujuh Posted August 15, 2022 Report Posted August 15, 2022 The issue is still in 2784. It worked as expected when I launched rescan the first time. But on the next rescans I had to rescan twice or thrice. Quote
Daria Kotilainen Posted August 16, 2022 Report Posted August 16, 2022 @Oleg.Rosscould you please double-check it again? I was able to reproduce the issue on one of my catalogs today. Kind regards, Daria Quote
