derbay
Would it be possible to add a feature to rotate the images within Daminion? Thank you.
Uwe
Hello derbay, right click: Rotation 90/180. From my point of view Daminion may not/doesn't have manipulate the photo. It's a DAM and not a program to change the file. There other programs (PS...) Regards, Uwe
Jacal
I also think that this is already done, as it should be.

kalain
From my point of view Daminion may not/doesn't have manipulate the photo. It's a DAM and not a program to change the file. There other programs (PS...) That's a bit rude. This means if you find a picture with wrong orientation in Daminion, you have to : - close daminion, - open PS (or Gimp or whatever) to rotate image - close PS, ... - open Daminion and may be make another import. mmmh! that's not very cool. Better than doing this with Daminion itself. (event if it's supposed to be only a DAM...)
Uwe
Yes, you are right. It sounds a little bit to hard. And a lossless rotation is not a manipulation. And for RAW files it's just an entry in the metadata. Regards, Uwe
Jacal
It seems that Daminion only writes to -exif:Orientation, when image is rotated. That is how I have always been doing this manually, when it was necessary. No need for lossless rotation; this is to be done by a graphic editor. Have a nice day! Murat
As Jacal said Daminion updates the EXIF:Orientation tag while "image rotation". That is fast, loss-less and recognized by majority of external programs.
