File Type Feature Request

Good Afternoon,

 

Many of the staff in my team are not file-literate per se.

 

They may have some idea that JPG means Photo - but they don't know that .MTS means video and .EPS means graphic.

 

It would be great if there was a more friendly way of them to simply select 'video', 'audio', 'photo', 'graphic', or 'document', etc.

Hello Daniel,

 

you can create custom tags: photo, graphic etc. Going this way you can define: is it a photo or is it a graphic or maybe both: a photo of a graphic... Assign the items to these tags in the Import Process or later by drag and drop etc.

That is one work-a-round - Which I am now going to use. Thanks!

 

It would be great though if custom tags could be saved searches. I think that would be a better solution.

We plan to add Tag Groups soon. And the file formats will be grouped into Images, Vector Images, Video, Audio etc... groups

For Videos it would be nice to seperate into SD and HD Videos.

(Although I think a built-in size grouping would be great for images, too.)
