Mardon
I have been getting a seemingly random error that says "The connection to the server has been lost." (See attachment.) I check the Daminion server and it is still running. If I press the "Reconnect" button the client reconnects to the server. I happened a lot in 844 but I didn't report it then. It is still happening in 854, so I thought I'd let you know.
Murat
Is this error appeared after searching for files with "business" filename? Could you please send me the server log files right after this issue appears again?
Mardon
Is this error appeared after searching for files with "business" filename? Could you please send me the server log files right after this issue appears again? Yes, during the example I posted previously I had been searching for "business" in the filename when the server disconnected. But the server disconnects without me doing anything. When the attached log file was produced, I just opened the client and left it sit for about 3 minutes when the server disconnected. It seems that I don't have to be doing anything special. Server Log is attached. log.txt

Mardon
Could you please check 860 build. Just lost the server connection the first time I launched 860. Server logs are in my directory on your ftp server. Mardon
Mardon
I just noticed the following 1.8GB file on my C: drive that seems to be associated with the crash of build 860 that I reported yesterday. In case it might be of any use, I am placing this file in my folder on your FTP directory. It's uploading as I post this. "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\WERA5E0.tmp.hdmp" Date Modified: 7/18/2013 6:28 PM AppCrash_Daminion.Server._79a2af81657a2d6dbcd34b07858bff5d26b5990-cab-34dec935

Mardon
Hi Murat, Is there any fix yet for this problem with the server connection being lost? The issue seems to be erratic. Sometimes it doesn't occur at all and other times it is hit and miss. Today I'm trying to find some files and the Daminion Client losses the connection to the server every single time that I click on a file. It is very frustrating. Daminion is pretty much unusable today. Sure hope you can fix this issue soon. Thanks, Mardon

Mardon
Hi guys! Can you please check the 870 build. Looking Good! :) I just did a quick check of build 870 by performing a search that used to always cause loss of the server connection with build 860. It worked fine with build 870. The server stayed connected. This was a very quick check. I'll do more later but wanted to report my initial good results. :)

Murat
Rene, does this issue appears after clicking on a thumbnail only? Could you please also launch the Daminion client from the command line with -log_enable parameter and send me the client logs right after the server will be disconnected. rene
Hey Murat, how do I do that? I think somewhere in the property menu of the daminion.exe file right? yes only if I open thumbnails
