[1107] bug report - Daminion Client keeps crashing when relinking a folder

Hey Murat,

I loaded all files into a local Daminion Catalog, since my server hard drives are going to fail soon.

Windows assigned a new Driver letter to the external drive. So Daminion can't find the files. I now hit relink Folder but Daminion is always crashinng.

Relink command time limit is 1 min, so probably the command was performing longer.

 

How many files you local catalog is contained?

Can you try to invoke the Optimize command and then try again. Please switch also off all outside time-consuming processes.

maybe to avoid such situations Daminion should process a popup window and ask if the current process has to be continued or to be cancelled.

Hello Murat,

the catalogs holds about 300.000 files and a little under 2TB of space.

 

I solved the issue by assigning the old drive letter manually
