Uwe Posted April 20, 2022 Report Posted April 20, 2022 (edited) Hello, according to documentation, the Description Tag should be read as follows: XMP:DC:Description, IPTC:Caption, EXIF:ImageDescription This is not the case with CR2 photos. Following content: XMP:DC:Description: "Fahrradtour Unteruhldingen, Konstanz, Rorschach, Bregenz, Lindau und zurück mit der Fähre". IPTC:Caption: "Fahrradtour Unteruhldingen, Konstanz, Rorschach, Bregenz, Lindau und zurück mit der Fähre". It first read the tag "IPTC:Caption" and therefore displayed the incorrect "Umlaute". I have yet to determine the cause of the incorrect umlauts. Possibly an external program (GeoSetter?) is responsible for it. I'll send an example photo via PM to Oleg/Daria. regards, Uwe Update: the reason is Geosetter and there the setting below.
