Input of a simple message (without attachment/document) possible?

I am new to Daminion (local catalog, free version) and wonder if it is possible to insert a simple "thought" (file) (without attaching a document/file).

Hello,

your thoughts must be in a file. In principle, this can be any file. You may need to expand the import options to include your file type. So, write down your thoughts or speak them out and import the audio file. Of course, you can also take a "dummy file" and write your thoughts in the metadata (title, description, comment, custom tag, etc).

Besides photos and videos, I keep simple text files (.txt), PDF, GPX, Spreadsheets and even PowerPoint presentations in my catalog.
