Volker
Hi Murat, I have the names of all our dogs in the categories. They should be ordered by name, where names starting with a letter such as É should not come at the end of the list. The correct ordering is: E. Guinness Éabha Éamonn Earl Louis Échlin Edenderry and so on. But at the moment it looks like this: Regards, Volker
Murat
Added to the feature list. Not sure, but seems it works with Daminion Server.
Russell
Added to the feature list. Not sure, but seems it works with Daminion Server. I suggest the ability to reorder the categories in any order. The "People" in my images, for example, is far more important than most of the other categories - I'd prefer to be able to put it at the top. :-) Thanks, Russell
Mammut
The main tag reordering would be great, I'd sort the Custom Tags, it's in the order of creating now. It's a little chaotic.
Russell
The main tag reordering would be great, I'd sort the Custom Tags, it's in the order of creating now. It's a little chaotic. Hi Mammut, I really need the ability to change the sort order of my Category items, I think. I have a lot of old family items that I have converted to digital (scanned photos, converted audio cassettes to MP3, scanned newspaper articles, converted VHS to MPG, etc.). The "Create Date", of course, is automatically created based on when the item first went digital - but that's not what I want... and I realize that I can "override" the create date, but I don't really want to - mostly because I can't authenticate the actual date of the original item in many, many cases. In my previous software, I created my own Categories like this: Dates --Month ----January ----February ----March ----Etc. ----Verfication ------Approximate ------Exact ------Noted on Media --Year ----1950 ----1953 ----1957 ----Etc. ----Verifation ------Approximate ------Exact ------Noted on Media I'm continuing with this format for Daminion at this point, because I can't think of a better, more accurate way to do it... But I must say that having my months out of order is odd - I guess I can prefix them with month numbers, but that's not very elegant (sure looks weird when you preview the file in other software, for example: Month: 4-April... It kinda looks like "April 4th", which isn't accurate). Any other ideas? :-) Thanks, Russell
Uwe
I agree, there should be an alphabetical sort of the main tags. The current one is not even sorted within the section the tag belongs to. Regarding the sort within the categories of a shared catalog: it's sorted alphabetical. If you enter a new category there isn't a refresh - you have to close the shared catalog and to connect again then the tags of the category are sorted. Mammut
Hi Russell, I'm using only the month number in my Custom date tags. But Daminion is sorting the months correctly at the Creation Datetime, so I think you could use it. If you don't know the exact date, use a future date for those images, like 2100.12.31. and you'll know that those're your unknown dated images. That way you'll have a system, and the months will be in the correct order. Regards, mammut

If you'll see new tags after clicking on the Refresh button.
