Weird Place (Country, state, city,location) behaviour

We use Daminion Teams Server 6.0 (1819).

I have a database with more than 14000 images. I use the Place(Country, ...) tags for it.

The weird things are:

1. as you can see in the attached pic, under "Place" there are two "Country" item and there are 54 element in the first and 2287 in the second item. How can this happened?

2. I.E. in "Bhutan" there are two "State", one of them holds 0 element. Why is it there anyway? At first, it was not there, only appeared it yesterday. (and almost all of the "place" tag holds a lot of sub-tags with 0 elements).

What can I do with it?

Hi Miklos, the tags in purple are that tags that came from files metadata and are not approved (you have an option to import tags from files metadata as unapproved activated)

The tags in black are the tags created within Daminion database or approved tags.

I know that but how can happen  that an unapproved (purple) tag has 0 elements? And the same tag appears in black with some elements?

Sorry Miklos, cannot answer to this question now, will have to try to reproduce. It could happen that the tag was approved and the images got associated with the approved tag but the unapproved appearance of the tag got stuck in the database

Miklos, just a thought:

On your screen shot I noticed you have two catalogs. By any chance, did you move some items from one catalog to the other?

The catalog on the screen is a totally different one.

To be honest, the problematic catalog was converted from a local catalog. Anyway, the mentioned problems were not there, they appeared only after a while.

I see the same situation, but I believe it happened after I migrated ~140.000 media items from stand alone to Home Server:

I never paid much attention to it, but I did find one difference between those two groups of items. When you select the country of the first group and then click "Adanced" to change the find request you see this (i.e it searches for an empty Country tag):

However, doing the same for the second group, the find request looks like this:

This might give a hint to the Daminion developers, what the reason could be ....)
