Geotagging Issue

Hi,

 

I have added geotags to my images in camera with Olympus geotagging app. The information is embedded into the RAW image. Daminion reads the information correctly, but if I update the location, it's updated only in the XMP sidecar file. If I now remove the item from my catalog and reimport it, Daminion takes the coordinates from the RAW image and not from the XMP.

what settings (Preferences->Writing metadata...) regarding the RAW images do you use?

Hi Uwe,

 

I forgot to mention, that I use the default settings "write tags to .xmp file".

 

Daminion is reading one place and making the updates into a second places. This is a similar issue that is related to creation time I have reported earlier. I think in those cases when the corresponding tag exists in the RAW file, the value should be updated also there even if the setting is to write the tags into a .xmp file.
