Wrong lens info in EXIF data

Daminion Standalone (v. 4.6.0.1481) reports incorrect lens info from files exported in GIMP (v. 2.8.18) with default export setting.

In the catalog, all files taken with "Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM" would showing "Canon EF 28mm f/2.8" after they were exported from GIMP.

I examined the EXIF data using EXIFTOOL and nothing showing EF 28mm. I hereby attach one of the files which was resized in GIMP for your investigaton.

Thanks.

Hello,

even in this case the fix can help but how to handle this case:

Daminion_1481_wrong_lens_Sigma150-600-02.jpg

Daminion_1481_wrong_lens_Sigma150-600-03.jpg

The photos were taken by the Canon5DMKIII and the Sigma lens 150-600mm

I guess, Daminion doesn't have a chance in any case to determine the right lens when each manufacturer writes its own metadata

Regards, Uwe
