List of pictures for export

Hi Murat!

I want to let my users search the pictures but if they want to export, they would send me a list of these pitures.

If the user's role is viewer, he can export everything i original size. If the role is guest, he can search, see on the monitor but cannot export. That's good. But he (guest user) cannot copy filenames with full path as well so he must write down filenames one by one. That' not so good.

Can you suggest a solution for this problem?

They can select files and press Ctrl+Shift+C to copy a list of file paths to Clipboard.

But the guest user cannot use Ctrl-Shift-C (it is grayed out in the menu too)!

Hmm... You are right.

 

Unfortunately there is no way for guests to copy file paths for a multiple items.

Yes. I meant that we disabled this function for Guests no matter how many files you selected.

 

We try to limit rights of Guests in comparison to other roles.

Is it impossible to give this right back to the guest? (copy file names to clipboard)

We'll think about this. Perhaps we could include it into the next build, cause anyway Guests can see full path in the Properties panel.

Hey Murat,

what about giving the Admins some freedom on allowing and disallowin rights? In the admin panel the admins could choose out of all rights, which user role has which rights.

This should work according to the Role's permissions, no matter whether you work with the desktop or web-client. The last one is on the early beta stage yet.
