[1030] bug report - Sometimes in the past while upgrading etc. lots of Information got lost

Hey Murat,

 

I noticed that Images that where completly tagged last year, lost collection, event, project, location, author, copyright etc. information! I need to redo all the work! I know this can't be undone! Just to inform you and see if there are others experiencing the same.

Hi,

 

I have experienced the same in the history, but only when I re-imported images. I haven't experienced this kind of information loss when upgrading to new version. I have had images where the metadata section was corrupted and the tags were not properly written to the images. I haven't experienced this kind of problems after I recreated the metadata sections of the images with exiftools (see my post from May/2013).

I also created a test catalog with all my images from 2013 and the contents of the test catalog seemed to equal the contents of my main catalog. I didn't check the images one by one, but compared the number of images with categories, keywords, geotags etc.

I mean I don't know if it happend during updating it is just my guess! Can't reproduce it! Need to re tag them all.
