Mardon
I was performing a "Rescan Folders" on the folder highlighted in this screen shot: http://www.JustUs.ca/misc/daminion/Runtime_Error._16Feb2013_v0.9.9_731.jpg when I got the error message shown. The client program terminated shortly after I did the screen grab but the server remained running OK. I launched the client and restarted the Rescan again and it finished OK that time. Murat
It will be very helpful to see the server log. Can you remove the "RAW" folder from the catalog and rescan it again?
Mardon
It will be very helpful to see the server log. Can you remove the "RAW" folder from the catalog and rescan it again? The Server log folder is attached as a zip file. I never know when to include the log files or which log files to include so just ask if you need them. I always launch the client with logging enabled. When I restarted the client, it did the rescan fine. There ws no need to remove the RAW folder. Am I missunderstanding your request? Am I missunderstanding your request? I meant to remove that folder temporarily from the Catalog only (not from the disk) and then re-import it to Daminion using the Rescan option. Probably a "wrong" file in this folder might be a reason of the error. Unfortunately the log files doesn't contain any information about the error. Did you send me logs right after the error was appeared?

Did you send me logs right after the error was appeared? I removed the RAW folder from the catalog as you requested. I then Rescanned the parent folder, "20110618" and everything went smoothly. The "RAW" folder and all 125 files in that folder were added back to the catalog. I did not send you the log files immediately after the crash. I waited for you to ask for them. I had used Daminion inbetween the crash and when I zipped the log files. I didn't realize it made a difference. I thought the logs went back several days. Uwe
I did not send you the log files immediately after the crash. I waited for you to ask for them. I had used Daminion inbetween the crash and when I zipped the log files. I didn't realize it made a difference. I thought the logs went back several days. The logs are "TXT"-files you can open them with text editors (e.g. Notepad++) and if you are interested in: search for some keywords like "error" or "exception". The logs are limited by 1MB/log and max. of 10 log files (predefined in the internal Daminion settings). Take a first look at the Windows file date of the log files. There you see that your logs are from Feb, 16th and therefore no information about Feb, 13th are there. Regards, Uwe
