Unreliable auto-synchronization in 2033 build

I'm sorry to tell you that we've discovered an issue with auto-sync in the latest build - not all the tags are written into the files metadata. Please use the manual synchronization until it gets fixed

Not sure, if  this happens always, but I found cases when the changed tag is not written into metadata. It happens, when you rename a tag and the new tag needs to be merged with an existing on.  It seems to work fine, if you rename a tag and the resulting new tag does not exist yet (i.e. no merge necessary). 

I just tried the above again in Build 203.

Hi Wilfried, yes, there are issues with auto-sync. If you do the same and sync the tags manually (write tags to file), are the changes saved into the metadata?

Yes, it they are. Once you found such a mismatch, it is easy to solve, but the real difficulty is to find all images where auto-sync failed in the past .

That's true 😞 the only way would be to create a backup, turn  auto-sync off, select all files (or folder by folder ) and write the tags into the files manually
