Paul Barrett
Title says it all. The file is present on the NAS. It hasn't been moved (and anyway I would only do that in Daminion) I can tag / untag it OK Any suggestions please? - Paul
Paul Barrett
Weird. After trying the recommended methods for resyncing, which did not work, I selected Action > Write Tags to File and it worked! Problem solved. NFI why that worked when resyncing did not. - Paul

Does the problem still exist? I mean, do you have to constantly write tags to files manually to update files' metadata? Daria

It was only this file that refused to sync and needed to be done manually. 5. Generally I find auto sync to be perfectly acceptable for normal operations. I am happy that if I update thousands of images it is going to take a while 6. For big tasks I toggle auto sync off and the back on when I am done. 7. This file persistently refused to sync whatever I did with auto sync. 8. Doing a 'Write tags to file ' fixed it instantly - Paul

TheDocAUS2
I have seen the same issue arise in a big database of images (over 300,000), and as you point out selecting them and going Actions>Write tags to file fixes the problem. The issue seems to affect the Network version more than the standalone version.
