1384 - file watching service

Hello,

 

there is an item in the server catalog and the same also in a local catalog. Both items are linked to the same file on disc. Now I add a new keyword in the local catalog for this item and "write tags to file". I expected to see this new keyword in the item of the server catalog. It's not there. Tested with TIF file.

Also a modification of DateTime Original of the file by XnView doesn't appear in the catalog.

File watching service is on in the Admin Panel

Did you turn AutoRescanning On for a parent folder of this image?

- Did you see a new keyword in the image metadata after saving it in the local catalog (Show All Metadata)?

 

- Did you press Refresh button in the server catalog after changes in the local catalog?

 

- Do you reproduce this issue with 1391 build?

 

- Can you see the updated keyword after invoking "Item > Read Tags from File" in the server catalog?

Tried to reproduce this issue with 1394 build with JPEGs and TIFF files, with enabled and disabled "Writing Metadata Preferences > Add compatibility with Windows Explorer" option. But with no luck.

 

Can you give us an access to your PC so we can take at this issue in place?
