1191 - metadata: Lens not updated

tested with DNG files: In Daminion I have different Lens tags for the same lens, e.g.:

 

24.0-70.0mm

EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM

 

I don't know the reason because sometime files in the same folder have this difference in the metadata.

I modified the xmp:aux:Lens tag of a file by the ExifTool. The new value is EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM

 

Then I updated the Daminion DB by "read tags from file" but there is still the old value in the DB.

Also the information shown by the ExifToolGUI and "Show all metadata" in Daminion is different: the tag xmp:aux:lens is not shown by the function "show all metadata" in Daminion.

Do you see the same Lens after restarting the Daminion Server?

Sorry, no difference after restart of server and client. Is it possible that the priority to read the metadata is different from the published one?

Update 25.03.2015: it works with JPG and TIF files but not with DNG files.

Test result: In case of DNG files Daminion reads at first the metadata EXIF:LensModel and not the XMP-AUX:Lens tag.
