How do you change the default password for the postgres user? I can change it using psql command line but then when try and view the users in Daminion Admin I get an exception error.

Hello Rob,

did you check the "*.config" files in the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Daminion Software\Daminion Server\"? There are some tags with the assignment of the user name and password "postgres". I guess the server has to be stopped before you modify something and you should have a backup of the original files.

AND - no guarantee if this works - not tested.

AND - whay do you want to change the password?

Regards, Uwe

You can change it via the PGAdmin or during the first Daminion Server installation (by the advanced installation). After that you need to match it in the Daminion Server Administration panel: Administration > Catalogs > Edit > PostgreSQL
