How do I move my pictures and other stuff to a new location

My pictures are currently on Drive D which is what the catalog recognizes. I would like to move them to an external hard drive and have the catalog recognize the there. How do I do this?

Hello Burton Taylor,

that's pretty simple.

 

I would suggest you to use a syncronisation tool like e.g. Allway Sync and after you synct all files open Daminion and make a right click to the old folder. Now hit "Relink Folder" and than enter the new drive letter.

If your local catalog file and imported files are located in the same folder then you can just this folder to a new location and all should works thanks to relative paths in the catalogs.
