Uwe
Hello, please see how the custom tag "test_tag" (format: text) is shown/saved in the metadata: with/without the "_", "test_text"/"Test_text" with "Show all metadata" with ExifTool GUI: Regards, Uwe
Murat
XMP specification requires that XMP Fields should be without spaces. Thus we replace spaces with the underscores and underscores with the double underscores.
Uwe
Hello, the tag I entered in Daminion was "test_tag" - with underscore. That means following your explanation I had to expect "test__tag". Unfortunately I can't reproduce it now because there is a new problem: the text I entered in the Properties Panel to the custom tag is not saved. This happens only with custom tags that are not appear in the tag tree. Values of custom tags that are in the tag tree are saved correctly. Murat
I can't reproduce the issue with saving values of the custom tag. Did you try to update metadata of what image format? Can you reproduce it with a local catalog?
Uwe
Hi Murat, it works with the local catalog but not with the shared one. I'll send the video by email to you. Regards, Uwe
Murat
Could you please send me the backup of your database?
Uwe
Hello Murat, I had to reboot the system yesterday. I also had to cancel the Daminion Client by the Task Manager because the Client was frozen. This morning I made the test with the custom tag again: Now it's working. Strange. The Problem I posted above seems to be a problem of the ExifTool and/or the Viewer. See the screenshot. This is how Daminion writes the custom tag in the metadata and this is ok.
