afatac
According to the format support list here https://daminion.net/feature-tour/daminion/broad-format-support, xmp metadata can be written to mp4 video. However, I am not able to find them when using Item > Actions > Show All Metadata... These mp4 videos were captured using mobile phone. Any comment? Uwe
Hello afatac, please check in the menu Edit->Preferences->Writing Metadata if the video support is selected. Then the XMP metadata are in the XMP sidecar file. Regards, Uwe
Murat
please check in the menu Edit->Preferences->Writing Metadata if the video support is selected. Then the XMP metadata are in the XMP sidecar file. Daminion can write to MP4 even without enabling the writing to sidecars option. It works with my test MP4 files. Afatac, could you please send me (or share) one of your MP4 files so we could analyze this issue.

Murat
Thanks for the file. Unfortunately the Adobe XMP Toolkit that we use to update XMP of the video files raises an error while trying to update XMP of your video. It works with all my MP4 files although. We've slightly changed Daminion's Video Processor and now in case of the XMPToolKit problems we'll use ExifTool that works fine with your video file. A new Daminion version will be available today or tommorrow on our forum. You also can select an option in the program's preferences to write tag to sidecar files.
