Just wondering if anyone can advise how Daminion handles duplicate file names

E.G. if I create a renaming rule based on date and time (including seconds) and then shoot a burst of several shots per second, how do the files get named ?

Is there any scope to include the fractional seconds in the renaming ? (I don't see it).

Thanks,

Steve

Daminion will append an incremental number to the end of the copying file if a file with the same name will be existed in the destination folder.

For example, with the "%date_%time.%ext" file naming template, images taken within the same second will be named as:

20121104_170815.CR2
20121104_170815(2).CR2

You can also append an image number token to your renaming template: "%date_%time_%inum.%ext"

and the resulted images will look like:

20121104_170815_02837.CR2
20121104_170815_02838.CR2
