stevehughes
Just wondering if anyone can advise how Daminion handles duplicate file names E.G. if I create a renaming rule based on date and time (including seconds) and then shoot a burst of several shots per second, how do the files get named ? Is there any scope to include the fractional seconds in the renaming ? (I don't see it). Thanks, Steve
Uwe
Hello Steve, we had this topic here: https://daminion.net/user-forum/index.php?/topic/541-095b-596-duplicate-files-in-the-catalog/page__p__1936__fromsearch__1#entry1936 But it's out of my focus now and it would be helpful if you can test it once more. Murat
Daminion will append an incremental number to the end of the copying file if a file with the same name will be existed in the destination folder. For example, with the "%date_%time.%ext" file naming template, images taken within the same second will be named as: 20121104_170815.CR2 20121104_170815(2).CR2 You can also append an image number token to your renaming template: "%date_%time_%inum.%ext" and the resulted images will look like: 20121104_170815_02837.CR2 20121104_170815_02838.CR2
