Request: Switching of the new pop-up image preview

The new image preview popup is a little bit aggravating.

Because every time I move the cursor over a thumb to mark or reject it for the import, the image preview pops up an prevents me from scrolling the thumbs window because of lost of its focus.

 

For me, the thumbs are big enough to decide whether or not to import an image. So maybe a Button for switching this preview on or off on demand, would be really fine.

I am also interested to hear any feedback about whether such Thumbnail Preview will be helpful in the main Daminion window?

Well,personally I always disable those popup previews because they always tend to come up, when I´m not needing them.

 

In the mainwindow, I have so much possibilities to configure the thumbs preview/size/position, that I do not see any advantage of having that additional preview window. - Just my 2 cents.

I agree. The thumbnail is enough. I don't need this additional pop-up. Maybe the thumbnails can be enhanced by the slider and the information of the pop-up window (Mediaformat, size) can be dispayed below the thumbnail but this is my priority -10.

It's a little distracting to lost the focus every time, yes. I think a fix place somewhere in the dialog window would be better. The size of it is fix now anyway.

 

But I usually import a full directory, not just one or two images from it, so actually I'll never use this. :)
