Mammut
Hi All, if there is a big database, with a really robust tag hierarchy, we could easily forget the tags. I'm filtering tags, and select one, and press ctrl, but there are a lot of tags, and a lot of tags are deep in a hierarchy, I don't know for sure which tags I can select with the original tag for the filter. There could be a tree list or key combo, where if I select a tag to filter, than all of the unusable tags vanish, and the list narrows down to only the selectable tags, where there are common files. Or there could be a map! If I select a tag, I get a map, which shows me the hierarchies of tags (or if it's too slow, than one level below at a time, not the full hierarchy) where there are common files (with number of files in parentheses), and I could move down (and back) in that hierarchy to find the right filter. What do you think? Regards, mammut
Uwe
There could be a tree list or key combo, where if I select a tag to filter, than all of the unusable tags vanish, and the list narrows down to only the selectable tags, where there are common files. This is an idea that goes through to the end. I wrote in another post (https://daminion.net/user-forum/index.php?/topic/820-716-selection-of-multiple-catalog-tags-question-and-bug) about this topic but your request is more sophisticated. +1 Regards, Uwe

Mammut
Or by another words hiding tags with zero numbers? It's a solution to hide tags when there are no common files if I press the "ctrl-xy" key. But I think it would be better in a separate window with direct tag names, and the parent tags could be in square brackets or something. Uwe
Or by another words hiding tags with zero numbers? Yes, that's what I mean. Regards, Uwe
Mammut
I created an xls example, the bold texts are the selected tags, you could go back and forward between the levels, and when you found the right filter, just hit the button. Or something like that. http://www.adrive.com/public/mq2CAP.html A simple tag hiding would be okay, of course, but I think something like this would be better.
