Feature Request - Color Label Assignments

Hello Everyone,

 

I would like the ability to assign descriptors or text to the color labels. My collection includes a variety of items and it would be nice to be able to have them Color Labeled - with the colors "meaning something." As an example, I might do something like this for my collection:

 

Red = Wall Worthy (very impressive pictures, worth getting printed and hung up)

Yellow = Scrapbook Material (wife can tag photos in this fashion and I won't purge them, since I know she wants them)

Green = Basic "Keep" Images

 

I hope that makes sense. I know I can create "Categories" like these, or use the colors - but it'd be nice if they were one and the same. As it is now, I'll use the "Color Labels" and have a post-it-note on my monitor to remind me what they mean.

Hi Russel,

 

I don't know if this helps but you can rename the color names. E.g. old = red to new = take care. Use the right click and rename (F2) on the color label.
