kalain
Hi, From Menu, If you do : - Catalog / Edit color label, Did you try to change a color label !! You can't! Why ? Because each color has to be unique and you have 9 colors with 9 possible colors (already used). So, you cant change or swap any color in this window!! What's missing here : 1/ code number in front of each selected color Aim of changing color, is to change a color linked to a code number. (?) 2/ a standard color palette. What about if I want to use : - a brighter/darker green or red. - another color instead of standard red, yellow, brown, ..... You simply can't. Uwe
Hi kalain, you are right - from a technical point of view. My question is: what do you want to do with the color label? And why do you need other colors? In Lightroom you have predefined 5 color labels. I would use the existing color labels to classify the items maybe together with the "star" option. kalain
Hi, I'm still not using Daminion as my favorite DAM but still testing because seems very promising. So, I was wondering on how I would use label colors. As I'm also an electronician, I would use resistor code color for color label. : http://www.apprendre-en-ligne.net/crypto/passecret/ohm.html By now, yes you can theorically change colors, only if you swap colors by each others. But there is still a problem (even after closing and opening this window):
kalain
Something basic like this would be better : You can pick basic color you want. or even more with this : From my point of view : 1/ you decide that colors label can't be changed. (Ok, why not) 2/ you decide that colors label can be changed by user. But in this case give to user a good way to do this. Regards
