cincytriguy
I'm on Daminion Server 8.4 and need to move it to another server host. I want to ensure all Daminion components are completely removed from the previous host. Is there a current topic or article that discusses how to do this? Daria Kotilainen
Hi Cincytriguy, You would need to remove Daminion Server, Daminion Client, and PostgreSQL from your machine. Then remove the following directories: - PostgreSQL Data Directory - its path will be indicated at the end of PostgreSQL uninstall - C:\Program Files\Daminion Software - C:\ProgramData\Daminion Software Please don't forget to create the backups of the catalogs prior to removing PostgreSQL. You can do it via Daminion server admin panel > Catalogs > select a catalog > actions > Backup. You will need them to restore the databases on the new machine. You can also copy the thumbnails to the new machine unless you want to let Daminion regenerate them after the installation. If any help is needed, please let me know. Kind regards, Daria
