  1. No. Daminion is pointing at the UNC path of the existing NAS, not the IP address. I can't give the new NAS the same name as the existing NAS because obviously 2 devices on the same network can't have the same name. In addition it wouldn't make sense from a naming standard perspective and there are too many other non-Daminion related files on the existing NAS that would be negatively impacted. It looks like I'm stuck re-lilnking about 400 folders. :( I'm surprised this limitation of not being able to move across volumes exists.
  2. Ugh. I have about 400 top level folders.
  3. I have a new NAS and I need to move all the files in my Daminion Server catalog from the old NAS to the new one. For context, I have a about 100,000 files and hundreds of folders. Daminion doesn't let me move or cut/paste folders across volumes. I found a thread here from 2014 discussing this. It's been almost 4 years. Have any new options been implemented that could make this process easier? Any recommendations for how to go about it?
  4. Just like the title says. I have about a dozen items that I've tried to delete and they caused Daminion to hang. After about 30 minutes I had to force quit Daminion from Task Manager. The items themselves were deleted from my file system but they still appear in Daminion as missing items. So now, if I merely select any of them and choose "remove", it will hang Daminion and I have to force quit it from Task Manager. Are there any other options for removing these items from my catalog?

  6. Hi Jason, The ability to Flag exists in the web client - you just need to dispaly the Flag tag but customizing the Filters panel and assign your files Flaggeg or Rejected by drag&drop. Your other feature requests we will discuss on our Friday meeting :) Kind regards, Daria
  7. I recently upgraded from Standalone to Teams and have been using the web client. Since my primary device is a Mac, the web client has been a huge productivity booster. That said, there are a few features that I'd love to see come to the web client which I didn't see on the roadmap thread. It's possible that some of these are already available in the web client and I just haven't found them yet. If that's the case please let me know. - The ability to flag / reject content - The ability to move content to different folders (this would be huge!) - Keyboard shortcuts for rating, flag/rejects, and color labels (just like in the desktop client)
  8. I'm going to be upgrading my Synology to a newer model that supports containers. I'm curious if anyone has ever attempted (and been successful) at getting Daminion Server to run inside of a container.
  9. OK I'm really at a loss here. This is the error I'm getting when I try to point the catalog's uploaded files directory at a share on my Synology: "You need to grant full access permissions for 'WORKSTATION\Daminion' user to '\\Synology\Share\Daminion Uploads' folder" The user account WORKSTATION\Daminion exists on both my workstation and the Synology with the same password, and I've given it full admin rights on both systems. I've tested that I can use that account to fully browse the Synology file system, so I know it has access to the \\Synology\Share\Daminion Uploads share. I can't think of what else to do here. Any thoughts?
  10. No, actually that service was not running. I started it and changed it from Manual to Automatic, but that doesn't seem to have helped my issue.
  11. I'm a long time Daminion Standalone user. I run Daminion on my Windows 10 PC and all of my media is stored on a Synology NAS. Today I decided to upgrade to Daminion Team Server and am in the process of configuring everything. I can't get the Daminion services to connect to my Synology. When I configure my new shared catalog uploaded files and auto import folder to point at my Synology, I get an Error Starting Daminion Service stating that my account doesn't have access rights. Here's what I've done: - Created a local Administrator account on my Windows box (Daminion) and set it as the Log On account for the Daminion services - Created an account on my Synology with the same username and password as the Windows account, and gave it read/write permissions to the file share I need Daminion to access I've verified the account is working by: - Logged on locally to my Windows box using the new Daminion account. Navigated to \\Synology\Share and it accessed it without prompting for credentials, telling me that pass through authentication is working as expected. - Launched a private browsing session and navigated to the Synology FileStation app, and logged in using the Daminion service account. I was able to see the one share on the Synology that I gave the Daminion account access to - Rebooted my Windows box Anyone know what I could be missing? It seems like I've got all the bases covered and the Daminion services should be able to access the Synology. Jason
  12. I own Daminion Standard. I just got the popup box to upgrade to 4.0, so I did, and now it looks like I've been downgraded to the Free version without any warning. Can I go back to Standard version?
  13. Regarding moving/merging, there's definitely a bug in build 1048. When I cut and paste entire folders within the catalog to other locations in the catalog, the catalog correctly shows them in the new location but the folders are still in their old location on disk, they haven't actually moved. Moving individual files by dragging and dropping them works, but it's when you cut and paste entire folders that you have a problem. This is a new bug that was introduced in 1048.
