pgrondin
Over the years I have spent a thousand or so hours with Picasa, Fotobounce, or ACDSee, taging faces, and also ignoring faces. All of the face coordinates, and names are written to my photos which are now in my Daminion catalogs. Daminion does not appear to recognize that data. I do not want to start over with face recognition. What I would like is for Daminion to simply read the existing face data in these files without searching for faces. Is there any way to set this up at this time? Thanks, Peter
Daria Kotilainen
Hi Peter, At this moment, Daminion does not recognize the face frame coordinates assigned in other applications. This functionality may get added in the following versions if we gather enough requests for it. Kind regards, Daria
pgrondin
Thanks Daria, I thought this was likely to be the case. If you add this feature in the future, I would prefer if the software allowed the following options: Scan only for embedded face data. Scan newly added photos for faces. Scan / Re-scan selected directory(s) for faces, either accepting embedded data or replacing it. Looking forward to the addition of this capability.
