Synonyms are not written into files

Hi all,

I was testing adding my files (standalone catalogue, metadata synced) into Damininon Server. It seems that all of my keyword synonyms are not written into files and are only stored in the database. I didn’t find any setting to do so. Am I overlooking something or should I reconsider the use of synonyms and use only "real" keywords? Reason is: I want my metadata to be readable by other applications.

Hello Sternenatem,

it works as designed: Synonyms and some other tags are not part of the metadata in the file, they exist only in the database.

At least when I export my keywords all of the synonyms are also exported and can easily be found because of the curly braces ({synonym}). I understand that the useful synonym function/suggestion Daminion offers can’t be replicated with hierarchical keywords.
