Nordlicht Posted January 21, 2023 Report Posted January 21, 2023 Hello, I tag my images with hierarchical keywords. When I export the tags to the XMP file, the keywords in the XMP file are written as Subject and hierarchical Subject. In both cases, however, as a hierarchical keyword. "Origin/Germany/Schleswig-Holstein/Lübeck" is then written as a keyword in the Subject field and recognized as a keyword in other programs Is it possible to set the export so that hierarchical keywords are only written into hierarchical keyword fields? Thanks Matthias Quote
Daria Kotilainen Posted February 17, 2023 Report Posted February 17, 2023 Hi Matthias, Would you please attach a screenshot? Does this happen for RAW or video files? Daria Quote
Nordlicht Posted February 18, 2023 Author Report Posted February 18, 2023 Hi Daria, this happens for RAW files. Matthias Quote
Daria Kotilainen Posted February 18, 2023 Report Posted February 18, 2023 Thank you Matthias. Unfortunately, at this moment we cannot change the metadata mapping for XMP: Subject. As a workaround, you can try running a command to clear XMP: Subject using ExifTool Kind regards, Daria Quote

Flickr, 500px for example, interpret such hierarchical keywords as one keyword Quote
