2555 - PDF vs TIF Date Time metadata and UTC

Hello,

since many years I use the following "Open with..." command of the ExifTool to set dates in the metadata. The syntax of the file names is: YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS-nnn.ext:

-overwrite_original "-EXIF:datetimeoriginal<filename" "-EXIF:createdate<filename" "-XMP:createdate<filename" "-XMP:datecreated<filename" "-XMP:datetimeoriginal<filename" "-PDF:createdate<filename" {Filename}

Now seems to be a problem there with PDF files.

A file name: 20211007_060000-000.pdf has the tag "XMP-exif:Date/Time Original  2021:10:07 06:00:00" The action "Read Tags from file" creates in Daminion the "CreationDateTime 2021-10-07 08:00:00" (timestamp without time zone).

The "Read tags from File" of a TIF file (20211007_060000-000.tif) with the same time metadata doesn't shift the time and the result is "CreationDateTime 2021-10-07 06:00:00".

Why is there a different handling of the time (use UTC if a PDF, doesn't use UTC if TIF etc)

regards, Uwe
