1726 - Update PostgreSQL - PostgreSQL 10 not detected

Hello,

following the instructions of the post: https://daminion.net/user-forum/index.php?/topic/2248-how-to-upgrade-your-postgresql-version/

the installed PostgreSQL 10 is not detected by the Server installation. The 9.6 will be installed by the Daminion Server installation parallel to the already running PostgreSQL 10.

Update:

the current (build 1726) Daminion Installer installs PostgreSQL9 parallel even if PostgreSQL10 is already installed and running.

BUT there is a workaround:

 

• One can deinstall PostgreSQL9, PostgreSQL10 service is still running
  
• in the Daminion file "catalogs.config" the "databasePort="xxxx" has to have the same value as you entered in the installation of PostgreSQL10, e.g "5433" in my case
   
  

The running PostgreSQL10 is not shown in the Server Admin Panel but it's working.
