Paul Barrett
I have a Photo Library where all my keywords are structured in a tree format. And i have a Documents Library where they are completely unstructured, I'm trying to decide what's best or indeed whether both approaches are valid as long as you don't mix them. Is anybody else doing this? - Paul
Uwe
Hello Paul, what about this: http://controlledvocabulary.com/ I prefer a structured architecture. Regards, Uwe
Paul Barrett
Hello Paul, what about this: http://controlledvocabulary.com/ I prefer a structured architecture. Regards, Uwe I wondered whether a hybrid approach might be useful in some circumstances. e.g. New Library Don't know what structure I need Use free form tags until a patter appears Group free form tags together Job done
Uwe
Hallo Paul, handling the structure is an ongoing process for me. Yes, there are, lets say "temporary unstructured keywords" in my tag list but from time to time I try to make a "consolitation" or improve the tags. For a new catalog I have to decide: what will be the main content of this catalog - and create some of possible "main keywords" in advance.
