Hierarchical keywords

I would like to try hierarchical keywords, how to do it right? I have tried to add keywords as usually, using '|' character as a separator, like: "parent|child1", "parent|child2", but daminion did not recognize it as a tree structure, these keywords did not appear as tree under common parent. These appeared as two independent keywords. What am i doing wrong? Are there any checkbox to enable this feature?

 

update: got it. Have to use '\' character, it works.

Should it work with '|', according to this setting (see screenshot below)?

Or it is only for reading the tags?

The above options work when reading metadata (Import or Read Tags from File commands).

 

"\" must be used in UI to set tag hierarchies.
