stevehughes
I've noticed that during import Daminion will ensure file uniqueness by appending '(2)', '(3)' etc to subsequent files with the same name. It might be just me, but I'm wondering if there is a better way. I use a simple datetime naming convention (SGH-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS) that ensures that sorting files by filename in Windows will also result in them being sorted by datetime. A difficulty arises when I shoot a burst of many frames in the same second. After importing into Daminion I get something like shown in Capture1.jpg. These are out of order. I have seen a different method used elsewhere which overcomes this. It appends 'A', B', etc. As shown in Capture2.jpg, this method results in the files sorting correctly when viewed in Windows. Is this something that could be considered ? Steve.
rene
there could be an option to choose which action daminion should take.
