What is the purpose of the tray windows?

Tray (like a lightbox or bin) is convenient to pre-select the media files before sending them to export, email (will be implemented soon), print, organize, upload, delete, copy, etc...

Following this answer, 'Tray' can be considered as a 'light' Lightbox.

Why 'light' ?

Because some features are missing here (in build 716) :

 

What would be nice for a lightbox is :

- when a thumbnail is selected in Lightbox (Tray), corresponding thumbnail should be also highlighted in main window.

- when a thumbnail is selected in Lightbox (Tray), Properties panel should be updated : You should be able to edit keyword or whatever.

- If you double clic on lightbox thumbnail, Properties window is not displayed!! You can't edit or assign any properties!! (Keyword or whatever...)
