Weogo Reed Posted February 5, 2015 Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 Hi Folks, I now have all the files in my computer's Photos folder in Daminion. I have cropped some files and added new versions to the Photos folder. How do I add all the new files to Daminion, without adding one at a time, or duplicating the whole Photos folder? Uwe Posted February 5, 2015 Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 Hello Weogo, select a folder with the new files and press F6 or Right-click->Rescan Folder. This action scanns this folder and its subfolders and imports the new files. Generally: You can select the root folder of your folder structure and all photos will be analyzed and the catalog will be sysnchronized with the folder: - items will be deleted from catalog if the corresponding files don't exist on the disc - items in the catalog will be updated if the there are differences to the file on the disc (changes made out of Daminion - insert new items in the catalog if there are new files on the disc Regards, Uwe 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Weogo Reed Posted February 5, 2015 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 Hi Uwe, Thanks! I figured out what I was missing: I was assuming one would rescan folders from Add Files. Instead, one needs to click at the top on Window, Folders, then click on the Folder(s) shown there. If this is somewhere in the instructions, I missed it...
