lintujuh
I rotated a portrait raw image (.CR2) -90° and the thumbnail shows it right as a landscape. If I look the image full screen or compare with other images it's then still a portrait. -Juha
Murat
Can you invoke the "Item > Actions > Read Tags from File" command for this file and if the problem still there could you please try to reproduce it with a newly created local catalog? lintujuh
"Read Tags" rotates the image back to portrait in the thumbnail view, it even didn't help when I tried to "Write Tags" first. I a fresh local catalog the image rotated as intended. Both the thumbnail and the full screen view are landscape. In the server catalog the image is portrait, even when I did "Read Tags" after rotating the image in the local catalog. -Juha
Murat
The run-time cache might reflects to this behaviour. Please try to invoke Read Tags from File, then restart the Server and Client and check the issue again. If this not helps could you please send me your RAW file for testing. lintujuh
The problematic image is in my Dropbox folder (IMG_5626.CR2). After rotating the image CCW 90°, read tags renders the image back to portrait. Restarting client and server didn't change the situation. Murat
Thanks for the CR2 file, I can't reproduce it with the latest 1128 build. However in this we fixed an issue that prevented upgrading the database (catalog) to a new version. And it probably might depends from this issue. Can you please create a new catalog, import that file and check the issue again. You can also try to upgrade to the 1128 build and check the issue there. lintujuh
I had already updated to 1128. I created an empty server catalog in 1128 and tested my image. Now it works. -Juha
photowolf
I still have the problem with version 4. Propably it will work with a new database, but to be honest: I don't want to create a new one - currently I have roughly 30000 picts in there. My question: is there a chance of creating a new database to fix problems but afterwards importing the olf "corrupted" one? Thanks Wolf
Murat
Please update to 1240 build, and rebuild the thumbnails for images where you see the problems with rotating. And please confirm that all is Ok now.
