Moving to new Pc

I will upgrade my PC in the next days. Recently I am using the actual build of Daminion Standalone.

 

My Daminion Catalogs and all the hidden Thumbs are saved under My Documents.

 

If I copy the catalogs and the pictures to the new PC without changing the paths will it be possible to open my catalogs without re-indexing?

Yes, if your images were located on the same root folder where your standalone catalog file was located.

 

But for all images outside your catalog based folder you can easily fix the connection between Daminion and external files using the "Re-link Folder" option of the Folders section in the Catalog Tags.

 

Apply it to the root folder(s) where your images are located.

 

Before moving your collection to a new location try to copy and check it. And if all is Ok remove the source files/folders.
