Flags not working for me

I'm currently running 0.8.6 build 405

 

I don't find Flag in the Catalog tags window, and the Flagged/Reject button in Compare Items Window does not work.

 

Would I have to create a new catalog for this feature to work?

Hello Peter,

 

the "Flag" entry was created in my Catalog Tags window. In "default" view its the 4th entry from the top.

 

The button is (for whatever reason) a bit tricky. Sometimes it just does not respond - when I keep trying it does after a while. I have this with several places of the UI (for example the arrows in the catalog tags do not always expand the tree, sometimes they do). So you might keep on trying and see if they work after a while... - Maybe the tree entry is only created after you flagged the first image?

The "flag" tag should be created automatically for existing catalogs. But for some older catalog versions it might be a problem.

So, Peter, please check the issue with Daminion 0.8.6.414 version. If this update will not solve the problem could you please send me your catalog file to support at daminion dot net to examination.

What Windows version do you use and what's the Font size is setup on your Windows?

The "Catalog Tags" window on the left which I use to filter images.

 

I am on Win7 (german, 32 Bit) with default fontsize (smaller 100%). My resolution is 1920x1080 (full hd).

Great - now you only need to locate the various "thumbs up" and "great" icons on top of the list since they are the most used ones ;)

I created a new catalog, and added some files. The Flag keyword for me shows up in the Properties window at the bottom under System, and in the Catalog Tags panel if I select Show ALL as teh third entry in the list. The Flagged/Reject buttons work perfectly on the new catalog.

 

On the old catalog, created under version 0.8.5, I cannot get the flag to show, or the buttons to work. I will send you the catalog shortly.

Please update your Daminion to 419 build.
