+1 for this request. i-m_so_happy.gif

It is true that we have right now only a "one way ticket" between the relation of images and marker on the map.

On the map I can click on an marker an see, which images are related to that place but I do not have this opportunity in the thumbs browser, where I can't just click on a thumb to see, if and where it is located on the map.

This option is existed in a next series of improvements for the "Map/GEO Stamping" feature.

How we planned to implement it:

- By Adding an option, probably a check box in the Map window named "Auto-Focus to Selected Image", that allows you display and center a Location Pin of the selected image.

Does this option will cover your request(s)?

Not sure this option would be the best one or faster one.

I do not use Daminion with dual screen (some users yes), but in case of dual screen your mouse will have to move from first to second screen to see in the map selected thumbnail.

If in the other hand you have this option (Locate into the Map) on right clic menu thumbnail, you will browse and display faster thumbnail location in map, especially if you add a short cut like 'Shift + Enter' (Just browse thumbnail with arrows and locate them into map with 'Shift + Enter'.)

If the "Auto-Focus to Selected Image" flag will be checked you don't need to move your mouse to the Map window. Location pin of a selected image will be displayed and centered automatically in the Map window after each thumbnail selection.

Ok, even faster than a right clic on thumbnail.

Looking forward to see this feature. ;-)

What about Zoom level applied ?

What about Zoom level applied ?

Do you mean that if I have a current zoom level, let's say X%, and select an image it should be centered on the Map and then the Map zoom should be changed to %Y level?

Preserving the current zoom level allows to fit different zoom level requirements for all users. But if we'll stay with a certain fixed zoom value someone might want to adjust it after each thumbnail selection :mda:

Not sure this is a good idea because you will have to define a preset zoom.

Sounds good and better.
