  1. Hi all Maybe someone has had this experience before - I did move Daminion Server onto a new Windows PC some time ago, and (thought to have) followed the instructions for moving Daminion Server to the letter. Unfortunatly, even though face recognition information is available on the new Windows PC as expected, the thumbnails are not displayed. I would not mind - if that would fix the issue - to simple reset face recognition and start over. But does anyone know how that is possible ? If not, even though I work as a Software Engineer, I did not find a non-risky way. And fiddling around in the database was not approach I wanted to take, due to the risk of data corruption. Maybe anyone has an idea or a hint ? Thanks and best regards! Denis
  2. Hello, I was doing the face recognition for hours while working on the other machine, but the server started to stop reacting for at least 1 hour several times, i had to hard power off! My server specs are as follows Terra Miniserver E3-1225 16GB RAM Intel Xeon E3 V3. CPU-Frequenz: 3,2 GHz I as well got a message .NET out of Memory we should really start on focusing on specific folders for face tagging Useful cases 1. My dad and I sit down and start the tagging for the photos, Dias, negatives, etc. of his family, he can help me. Especially, if we focus on folders, not the entire catalog! 2. My mom and I sit down and start the tagging for the photos, Dias, negatives, etc. of his family, she can help me Especially, if we focus on folders, not the entire catalog! I realized the server is overloaded, maybe just mine, BUT that shouldn't happen! The server actually runs Microsoft Windows Server 2ß19 ! RESULT: I think, we should really go by folder, or folder structure OR on Demand, like "Folder rescanning" This will actually ne easier, hence i know specific people, who had been there! I have no expertise in this field, BUT i think this can heavily reduce server load and BTW energy consumption, if we go folder by folder! Imagine, importing a new folder, I know I was on vacation with certain people so I don't need to think about people from 50 years ago. etc.! Further, reducing power to folders like the recsanning feature, will make Daminion more successful in my optioneion, especially in where the price rising, like the do!
