670 - show all metadata

Hello,

 

Is it normal that for raw files (PEF,NEF,RAF ...) "Action / Show all metadata " never shows xmp metadata ?

I am using Windows 8 (migrated from Windows 7).

 

I feel that my formulation was not precise enough.

 

For example, for a PEF file, I can see this informations for Metadata Groups: ExifTool, File, Exif, MakerNotes and Composite.

 

For dng and jpg, I can see a Metadata Group 'XMP'.

 

This 'XMP' group is not available for raw files, so I can not check 'rating' and 'label' for example ...

"Show All Metadata" option doesn't care about .xmp sidecars. So if your RAW file doesn't contain XMP info itself, but instead uses .xmp sidecar you can't see the XMP info by this function.
