DonPels
I didn't see this topic discussed elsewhere. For me, one of the important feature of Picajet was the ability to group (and view) files by folder location. In other words, the contents of each folder are grouped and displayed together. Is this feature going to be available in daminion?
Murat
Hi Don, It's possible to display content of a folder including all-subfolders in the 543 build. Right click on a folder and navigate to the 'Show files with aaa tag including childs' option. Murat

Murat I tested the newer build and it does display a folder and all subfolders; however, it doesn't group them. An example would be something like the attached Picajet image where each subdirectory shows its contents separately. Something like this . . . Path to Subfolder 01 Thumb01 Thumb02 Thumb03 Path to Subfolder 02 Thumb01 Thumb02 Thumb03 Thumb04 Thumb05 Path to Subfolder 03 Thumb01 Thumb02

Ah, so what you want is to have the thumbnails grouped by folder, with a heading each? That does look quite nice. You can set the sorting order for the thumbnail view to sort by folder (Sort By->Advanced->General->Folder), but it does not give you a heading for each folder. You can still see what folder an image belongs to by selecting it of course, since that now colors the folder in the Catalog Tags pane. The grouping and heading looks like a nice option, but I think it should be optional, since you might not want this grouping. It could be that you just want to collect images from multiple folders and sort them on other criteria across the board.
Murat
Unfortunately, Daminion will not supports image grouping like PicaJet does. It has a new architecture, and this will requires too many time to implement this. But there are a lot of features that we plan to add to Daminion. BTW, I see on your screenshot that you use slow graphic driver. PicaJet supports OpenGL acceleration and it is highly depended whether you have installed slow Windows graphic driver or fast graphic card vendor drivers like NVidia Detonator or ATI Catalyst.
