curio77
With Daminion standalone v7.0.0.2457 (and the v7.0 build I had before that), when I import images, everything appears to be in order (i.e., images show up), but apparently, no metadata is imported, the image section on the properties panel is empty, the image is not marked on the map based on its GPS coordinates, etc. For preexisting images, these things work. And for the newly imported ones, the "Show all metadata" option (via Exiftool?) expectedly shows the metadata the images definitely have... What's up? This is on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Daria Kotilainen
Hi Curio, With Daminion 7, you need to run Daminion application as administrator - we are looking into fixing this behavior in the upcoming version. In another thread, I read you have installed v6.7 - please let me know how it works for you in terms of metadata Kind regards, Daria
curio77
Daria, v6.7 was another guy replying to my (other) post… 😉 Cheers, Marco
curio77
FWIW, I tried running v7 as administrator, but that didn't seem to make any difference.
Daria Kotilainen
Hi Marco, For already imported files please try to read tags from files while running Daminion as administrator via right-click > actions > read tags from files Daria
curio77
Daria, You're right, re-reading tags when run as administrator works. Thank you (still hoping for a proper fix though) Marco
