moorecokhodge
Hello, Our NAS storage (\\FileServer1) recently crashed and we had to move to a new NAS device (\\FileServer2). Previously our Daminion software ran on its own computer (DaminionComputer) and stored files/thumbs to the \\FileServer1 NAS. However, now we have the Daminion files on the new NAS \\FileServer2. I've logged into DaminionComputer and changed the catalog storage path from \\FileServer1\Daminion to \\FileServer2\Daminion, but when I open the software all of the file links are broken because they still point at \\FileServer1\Daminion. How do I update the links for individual files to correctly point to their location on \\FileServer2? Thanks! EDIT: Keywords for searchability by anyone else running into the same issues: UNC path, Daminion Server, Relink, Re-link, move catalog, transfer catalog, server path, wrong folder
Uwe
Hello khodge, two options: 1. relink a folder: right-click on the folder in the Folder Panel->Relink Folder... 2. relink an element: click on the Action Icon in the upper right corner of the thumbnail->Relink Item Regards, Uwe
moorecokhodge
Thanks, that worked! All of the details I found searching online seemed to be for moving personal copies of Daminion rather than server copies. I'll throw some keywords into my original post to make it easier to find for anyone else who finds themselves in the same boat.
